About Auris-En-Oisans
Auris is an alpine commune in the Isère department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of south-eastern France.
Auris is located 30 km south-east of Grenoble and 5 km west of Mont-de-Lans.
Apart from the the town hall there is the hamlet of Les Cours to the north and Le Cert and Les Chatains to the south.
The commune is rugged with alpine terrain and a large forest to the west of the village La Forêt.
Skiing in Auris-En-Oisans
Auris-en-Oisans is a family ski resort located at an altitude of 1600 m, on a slope south facing Les 2 Alpes.
This village resort offers a remarkable view of the Meije and the Écrins massif and has 11 traditional and preserved hamlets, offering a rich and unique heritage.
The ski resort's domain has 45 km of slopes and modern ski lifts suitable for children and beginners, with maximum snow cover.
Auris-en-Oisans is a satellite resort of Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine Ski with its 250 km of descents equipped with its 135 ski lifts, including the 17 kilometers long and mythical track "La Sarenne".
A sunny village resort for experienced or amateur skiers, downhill or cross-country skiers.

Paragliding
Oisans is a great playground for the whole family, including in the air!
A Paragliding flight over the peaks and valleys of Oisans, with take off from Pic Blanc at 3300 m altitude, accessible by cable car. A majestic plane over the glaciers, ridges and pastures.
A skilift in the heart of Alpe d'Huez: with takeoff at 2700 m altitude. Up there, a panorama of the mountain lakes, the surrounding peaks and the villages of Oisans.
Children can also try paragliding and flight over the mountains, and discover with the instructor the joy of maneuvering a paraglider.
Cycling
The iconic Tour de France routes, including the climb up to Alpe d’Huez and its famous switchbacks (just 10 km away), together with the Col du Lautaret and the Col du Galibier.
There are also less well-known routes, such as the Route de la Roche, between Auris and la Garde-en-Oisans. Suspended above the plain, a panoramic road.
For mountain bikers, the area around Auris offers lovely classic XC route goes round the Signal de l’Homme and the Croix de Cassini and along the valleys of the Sarenne, Ferrand and Romanche rivers.
The return trail on the south-facing Auris side will show the «Mediterranean» side of Oisans.
A typical cross-country loop winds its way along the balcony paths of Auris. A south-facing route, where one can explore some interesting single tracks, ride through unspoiled hamlets and enjoy amazing views over La Meije.
